FAQ Clear Collodal Silver

Is your Silver Generator still availiable?

No. The 9 volt generator produced a gray or yellow CS depending on if salt was used. The Clear silver is so superrior I am currently not offering the old generator for sale, and unless there is a large demand, will not bring it back.

Will you offer the generator that makes Clear colodial silver?

Not at this time. The generator is a High Voltage device and is too dangerous for use by the general public. Also it would be more expensive than would be economical for individual use.

If your Clear CS is not photo sensitive why ship it in dark bottles?

While there appears to be no silver cloride which darkens within an hour the silver will tarnish in sustained sunlight. The amber bottles allow maximum shelf life with no degregation.

What is the shelf life?

It is unknown at this time but should be years to decades. Hopefully you will use it faster than that!

How good is Clear CS?

It's as good as it gets. If I could make it better I would, but it appears to be optimized to the max.

Why can I not measure PPM acurately with a total disolved solids meter?

It measures solution conductivity. Conductivity depends on the amount of silver present, but also the purity of the water used, any minerals present, catalists used like salt, and the charge on the silver particles. Oddly enough the higher the charge on the particles the less the conductivity. This is because they tend to repel each other and stay separated decreasing conductivity.

Why does flashlight or laser beam not show up in Clear Colloidal silver as bright as it does in the colored store brands?

The particles in clear are so small that the light does not reflect but passes by the particles. Ocassionally a number of particles will line up so some light reflects. So it is not an indicator of the number of particles but the size of the particles.

How much Colloidal Silver does it take to purify water?

Make a solution of .05 to .1 PPM. Another way of saying this is use 1 part CS to 100 or 200 parts of water if you are using 10PPM CS. So about an ounce to a gallon.

How much silver is there in a teaspoon of 10 PPM CS?

There are 6 teaspoons in an ounce or a teaspoon is 1/6 of an ounce. An ounce is 29.57 cc. So a teaspoon is 29.57/6 = 4.93 cc. 10 PPM is 10 milligrams per liter or 10 micrograms per milliliter. One liter is 1000 cc or 1000 milliliter. So a cc = milliliter. So 10 micrograms per milliliter times 4.93 milliliter is 49.3 micrograms per teaspoon.

How much should I take orally as a food supliment?

In 1940 the average daily intake of fruits and vegatables would provide 50 to 100 micrograms of silver as a trace element. According to the "Earth Summit Report," of 1992, the levels of soil based minerals have dropped 85% in the last 100 years or about .85% per year. If we start with 100 micrograms in 1940 (60 years ago) times our .85% per year we get a decline of 51% or a missing 51 micrograms a day. A teaspoon of 10 PPM will provide 49.3 mcg. So one teaspoon a day should make up for our depleated soil.

What is the maximum that I can take safely over a long time span?

As a maximum the EPA has stated that 325 mcg. a day is nontoxic to a 70 killogram (154 pound) body. Using the above 50 mcg. per teaspoon we see that we can safely take an ounce (six teaspoons) a day if we weigh 154 pounds. If your child weighs half of this then about 3 teaspoons a day would be appropriate. If you weigh 230 pounds you could take an ounce and a half a day and be within the EPA guidelines. An ounce could be two teaspoons three times a day.

Each person should decide for themselves as individules their required dosage based on their health or lack thereof, and any other mineral supliments they may also be taking, like a multiple colloidal mineral, and their individual tolerance level, and any other variables that only they can know. If you are experiencing diarrhea you are probably taking too much vitamine C or too much colloidal silver.

Didn't the FDA just outlaw Colloidal Silver?

They would like for you to think so. They ruled that over-the-counter (OTC) drug products containing colloidal silver or silver salts are not recognized as safe and effective and are misbranded. My response to this is that I am not selling a drug. I have re-labeled my product as a diatery supplement and am making no medical claims on the label. The recommended internal dosage as a diatery supplement (one tsp./day) supplies about 50 mcg. of pure silver, about half of what used to be in your daily intake of food. The new label calls the product Silver Water. The product is still transparent (clear) and not silver in color, but the name reflects what the product contains; no drugs; just the pure element of silver in a base of pure water.
